kʷikʷəƛ̓əm First Nation receives new funding to upgrade and protect its historical cemetary, including $300,000 from the First Nation Land Management Resources Centre and $387,000 from the First Peoples' Cultural Council. Our Historic Cemetary serves as a sacred final resting place for our Elders and Ancestors as well as extended family and relatives from other First Nations.

Port Coquitlam and kʷikʷəƛ̓əm First Nation sign a service agreement for the first stage of development of Coquitlam IR #2, one of the two reserve lands managed by the Nation. This historic agreement paves the way for the Nation to start to develop these these lands which cover a 202 acre site located off Pitt River Road in Port Coquitlam, BC.
