Education and Employment Survey

 The Administration is working to expand the Education and Employment support available to the members. The results of this survey will help to ensure that members are able to access the services and training they need to meet their goals.

Career Support 

Kwikwetlem First Nation has a membership with a diverse skill set and working in a variety of positions. Our members hold certifications in areas such as:

  • Heavy Equipment Operation, 
  • Flagging,
  • First Aid,  
  • WHIMIS, 
  • Nursing, and
  • GIS Technician.

As well, our members are also currently enrolled in training programs for: 

  • CNC Machinist Technician, 
  • Bachelors of Social Work, 
  • Agricultural Business Management, and 
  • Office Administration. 

Kwikwetlem First Nation is committed to supporting community members reach their education and career goals. The Post-Secondary Policy  is in place to offer support to members who are interested in advancing their education and training. The Nation's educational support officer will also work with members to develop a plan for their future.

Tutoring

 The Nation also offers ongoing support to ensure the success of the children and youth living in the community. Tutoring is available bi-weekly for the school-age children and a tutor works one-on-one with the high school students to support their studies.
