Lands and Resources consists of six departments that include Planning, Referrals, Stewardship, Negotiations, Lands and Taxation and səmiq̓wəʔelə/Riverview. These departments work together to protect and advance the rights and titles of the kʷikʷəƛ̓əm First Nation; act as guardians and stewards of the lands, waters and resources within our traditional territory; develop and manage our reserve lands (IR #1 and IR #2); engage with kʷikʷəƛ̓əm members on planning decisions; and negotiate with Regulators and other stakeholders on projects located on our traditional territory. The team is supported by expert advisors in fisheries, archaeology, culture, planning, environmental engineering and geology.
