Referrals are a formal acknowledgement of kʷikʷəƛ̓əm rights, interests, and perspectives, and a serve as a stepping stone for meaningful engagement concerning projects taking place on kʷikʷəƛ̓əm First Nation unceded territory and beyond. The Referrals Process is initiated when a proponent is requesting knowledge, expertise, input from kʷikʷəƛ̓əm First Nation. Referrals should be sent to the Nation at the earliest stage possible in the project planning process.
